Kassie M. Leaphart, FNP-C, DNP, attended Montana State University Bozeman for her undergraduate nursing degree and again while obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Kassie has been a nurse for 7 years and started as a new graduate nurse here at Billings Clinic in the Intensive Care Unit, which propelled her desire to go back to school during the COVID-19 pandemic. During her graduate work she remained full time at a local surgery center. She believes that nursing was the career path that was always meant for her and is excited to care for individuals in a new capacity as a provider. Kassie grew up in Billings and is looking forward to coming back to Billings Clinic within the Outpatient Pulmonary Clinic, especially to learn from the talented physicians she worked with back during her ICU days. Her free time consists of spending a lot of time outdoors anywhere in beautiful Montana enjoying an array of activities with her husband and their two daughters..

This Care Provider treated me with the upmost respect. She literally saved my life, as I was there that day for a followup and she convinced me to go through the ER to get a CT, which showed I had Blood Clots on my lungs, and was admitted to the hospital to start Blood Thinners. If I had missed that appointment with her that day, who knows if I would even be filling out this Survey today.
