Dr. Albers is a 5th generation Montanan and grew up in Billings. Dr. Albers attended Reed College in Portland, OR and graduated in Psychology and Neuroscience. The following year, a Fulbright scholarship allowed her to spend a year studying obesity in a neuroendocrine lab in Sweden. This cross-cultural interaction prompted her to continue traveling, serving in the Peace Corps in Botswana, working in AIDS education, prevention, and treatment in rural clinics. After returning to the US, she spent time as a medical assistant to a family physician at the community health center in Billings, and this experience inspired her to further her education to obtain her medical degree at the University of Washington. She completed her Family Medicine training through the Western Montana Family Medicine Residency via the specialized rural track in Kalispell, MT.
Dr. Albers special interests include addiction medicine, women's health, reproductive health, Indian Health, and becoming a pluripotent stem cell that her community needs. Dr. Albers, her husband, and two children are happy in the Miles City community, where they are close to family and the outdoors they so love, in their own home state. She enjoys swing dancing, running, reading, and traveling.
