Michael Sebastian, MD

Michael Sebastian, MD, a native of New Orleans, earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Louisiana State University. He trained as an internist at the University of Alabama, and followed that with Anesthesiology residency at Duke University. He has worked in a variety of private- and academic-practice settings during his 30-year career, with leadership and administrative positions sprinkled in. His plans to coast to retirement as a locums physician went by the wayside when, starting in autumn 2023, found himself captured by the people and the place at Billings Clinic. In his current role as Anesthesia Department Chair, he’s concentrating on recruiting to rebuild a department of physicians and CRNA’s working collaboratively to continue the excellent anesthesia care our patients have always enjoyed at Billings Clinic. When he’s not doing that, he can be found exploring Montana with his camera from his motorcycle.
