Tayt Ellison, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship‑trained orthopedic trauma surgeon and Billings native returning to the community where she grew up. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Carroll College, completed her medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine, and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center.After residency, she served as an Air Force orthopedic surgeon at Eglin Air Force Base, including deployment to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. She later completed advanced fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.Her clinical interests include complex fractures, including pelvis and acetabular reconstruction, infection, bone loss, limb reconstruction, and trauma care.Outside of work, she is an avid runner, outdoor enthusiast, and national parks traveler—having visited 13 parks so far, with a goal of all 58. She enjoys soccer, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and exploring Montana’s landscapes with her husband and two sons.
