MaleAbout Trenton Burgess
Trent Burgess, MD grew up in Montana where he always loved the mountains and the snow. After high school, he completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and joined the army where he held multiple leadership positions, traveled the world, and completed two tours in the Iraq war. Following his military career, he embarked on his career in medicine, continuing to travel across the western United States for medical school and residency, where he met his wife. After residency, he accepted a position as General Surgery faculty where he maintained an elective and emergency general surgery practice and participated heavily in resident education. After so much travel for work and training, he is excited to return to Montana to continue his career in General Surgery, continue to provide resident education, re-explore the Montana outdoors and expand his woodworking practice.

Dr. Burgess is fantastic! He was able to accurately diagnose the when, others did not missed something. Showed great concern, and got surgery scheduled very quickly. Very informative.

I do have to say Dr Burgess needs some kind of recognition. He always took the time to explain every detail of my diagnosis and the treatment plan. He answered every question I had, no matter how big or small, and ensured that I understood what was happening at every step. This clarity helped alleviate so much of my anxiety that comes with having cancer. He is truly the best.
